Selected Functions of ALINCO DR112T Single Band Transceiver

Receives 136-174, 340-380, and 870-890 MHz; transmits 144-148 MHz (all FM), via VFO & 14 memory channels: 10 "Basic" Channels 1-9 & E; 2 channels which define Program Scan limits (A &B); 1 call channel (C); & 1 channel for non-standard offset operation (D). To cycle among ranges, in VFO Mode, push Function (M indicator will flash), then MHz.

TO USE VFO MODE:
VFO/M (third on left of 9-button bottom row) alternates between VFO and MEMORY.
Enter frequency by Main Tuning Dial or UP/DN buttons on microphone.
To change frequency in 1 MHz steps, push MHz (second button from left). Same cancels.
Repeater Offset is set via SHIFT button (5th button from left). Cycles through -600 kHz, +600 kHz, DUAL (used only with Channel D for non-standard offsets), and SIMPLEX.
To set tuning frequency step, enter VFO mode, push Function, then push CHannel SPacing (3rd from left). Then use Main Tuning Dial or UP/DN buttons on microphone to cycle among 5, 10, 12.5, 15, 20, or 25 kHz steps. Push F or PTT to set and return to VFO.

TO SET CTCSS (PL/SUBAUDIBLE TONE) ENCODE (TRANSMIT) OR DECODE (RECEIVE):
Go to VFO Mode & push TONE button. ENCode will appear with one of 37 tones (67.0- 250.3 Hz). Select tone with Main Tuning Dial or UP/DN buttons. Push F or PTT to set.
TONE also cycles among ENCode (transmit), ENC+DECode (tone squelch), and both off.

TO RECALL MEMORY CHANNELS:
VFO/M (third on left of 9-button bottom row) alternates between VFO and MEMORY. Memory Mode confirmed by M and channel number in display. Tune via Dial or UP/DN.

TO ENTER A FREQUENCY IN A MEMORY CHANNEL:
Enter VFO Mode & select frequency & any offset or subaudible tone encode/decode desired.
Push Function. (M will flash--action must be finished while flashing). Select desired Channel using Dial or UP/DN buttons. Then push Memory Write (F MW button--same as Function).
CALL allows one-stroke selection of a commonly-used frequency. To select, complete initial steps above; but after pushing F, push CALL Write. The frequency is entered in Channel C.
Push CALL (rightmost button) to select call frequency. Push VFO/M to return to normal use.

TO SCAN:
In VFO or Memory Mode, push SCAN (second from right) to scan up from current setting.
To scan the entire VFO receiving range, program the same frequency in Channels A&B.
To scan a specific range (Program Scan), program the lower and upper frequency limits in Channels A&B and tune VFO within that range. (If VFO setting is outside the range, it will initially scan freely; once it reaches the set range, however, it will cycle within that range.)
In either mode, push SCAN again or PTT to stop scanning.

TO MONITOR A PRIORITY FREQUENCY (SCAN BETWEEN "MAIN" & "PRIORITY"):
Priority freq is checked every 6 sec while the unit is set on one other ("main") freq in a different mode (i.e., if priority frequency is VFO Mode, main freq must be Memory Mode).
Select any Channel or VFO setting as Priority, then go to the other mode and select the main frequency (which cannot be changed with Priority activated). Push PRI button. PRI cancels.

TO REVERSE TRANSMIT/RECEIVE FREQUENCIES WHEN IN OFFSET: Push REVerse.
